Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette | Beauty

Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette

Makeup Revolution Radiance Palette

Ok, I caved and bought the Radiance Palette from Makeup Revolution! I was really trying very hard not to buy any new palettes but two things, firstly I appeared to be having an allergic reaction to my much adored Blushing Hearts highlight which I think I have just had for too long now so had to throw it anyway! And secondly, I have really been missing my Hourglass Ambient Light powder so I wanted something that would draw light into my face but something where I can add highlight to specific areas! The Radiance Palette was only £8 for 3 shades of highlight so it wasn't much of a risk!

As you can see each of the 3 shades are quite different. In the pan 1 and 2 look actually very similar but on my finger tips you can see my middle finger and the one to the right hand side are quite different colours and then you have that gorgeous golden bronze shade on my index finger. I literally gave each finger tip a tiny rub and this is how much product I got, you can see that they are quite pigmented. What I like about these highlighters are that they are NOT glittery like most, they're so soft and finely milled that make them incredibly easy to blend.

The first shade on the left hand side in the Radiance Palette I would say is a pretty good dupe for the Ambient Light in Dim Light but at a mere fraction of the cost. I use this shade like I did with Dim Light and use it lightly all over my face, it gives SUCH a natural highlight because it really draws the light into you face on the more natural contours. The centre shade I will definitely be using on my cheek bones just to give them a bit more oomph! I think the only shade I'm really gonna struggle with is the golden one, I am pale as hell and there is no way I can use this one to contour with as it is just too much like a highlighter. I will be taking the palette on holiday with me when I go away in May so maybe it will be good for a sun kiss summery look.

I am in love with this little palette and find myself using it all the damn time!! Have you tried the Radiance Palette?

Blushing Hearts Peachy Pink Kisses | Beauty

Oh it's just so pretty!! Already I know what you're thinking, I should change this blog name to "Toni's Late to the Party AGAIN" but what can I say, I just don't like shopping online if I have never tried the product before.

This pretty little thing is the Blushing Hearts Triple Baked Blusher which is from Makeup Revolution I Heart Makeup. I have seen various different blog posts on the various different highlighters and blushes and knew it was only a matter of time before I made a purchase. I went into my local Superdrug recently and I must mention they have had a massive revamp with their store, everything looks so much better. The beauty counters are beautifully lit, each product is presented in such a wonderful way, a lot easier to shop now.

Whilst I was looking around the Makeup Revolution stand I noticed they had almost the entire range of the triple baked blushers and I went a little heart eyed for them all. After reading reviews I always thought I would end up buying one from the pinkier tone ranges like Bursting with Love or Iced Hearts something like that. As soon as I saw Peachy Pink Kisses, I knew I had to have it. I actually like peachy tone on me, I hate blushers that are too pink.

You actually get 3 different shades in the heart and personally I would say that the first two are very similar, the main difference is that smallest one is probably just a little more paler than the middle shade. The final shade is the strongest and pinkier toned of them all, however they all have this wonderful champagne shimmer too them, not too cool toned but not too warm for my complexion either. As you can see in the pictures, this is an incredibly shimmery blush and I like shimmer. That being said, I personally would say it's just a tad too shimmery for standard blusher application. It's a bit more of a highlighter for me, but of course, one I can use to add a flush of colour as well as highlight the ol' cheek bones. When I first tried it I used my Real Techniques Fan Brush which is literally perfect for highlighting and I was surprised how much I loved this little heart blush. It looks gorgeous on, shimmery, pretty and girly.

Have you tried any of the Blushing Hearts blushers?

I know what you're thinking, I'm late to the party again! But I'm one of those people who doesn't like to buy make up online simply because I like to have a look and a swatch. Makeup Revolution took a while to come to my Superdrug so I just didn't buy anything for ages.

Beauty bloggers absolutely adore Makeup Revolution and there are thousands of posts written about their various products so I was a little overwhelmed as to what I should get. However I went for the Redemption palette Iconic 3 because I've heard it's a dupe for the Naked 3 palette which is a palette I really really want and for £4 you simply cannot go wrong.

To be honest I think it was the price that got me more because it is so bloody cheap it's really easy to try out various different palettes and shades from this brand which actually is a massive appeal for those of us who love makeup. The thing that really drew me to into purchasing this specific palette was the range of shimmers it had. I adore pretty shimmers, never really been a massive fan of of the muted matte shades so I love the fact that this only has like 3. Don't get me wrong I understand the need for the matte shades for definition but I don't need a whole palette full of them.

I was incredibly impressed with the quality of the product, I mean this is a budget makeup brand but the quality is amazing. I like that some of the most shimmery ones in the pan can be built up on the eye to look the same intensity. I am also incredibly impressed with the longevity of this product, my eyes look pretty for hours without needing any sort of touch up!

I totally understand the hype now and can't wait to get my hands on more.

Which Makeup Revolution products would you recommend?
