Gift Idea: Steamcream Cracker | Beauty

So now it's November, I really need to start thinking about Christmas so this week I just thought I would share with you a couple of things that I think would make a good present like this little cracker. 

There are lots of brands that bring out different ranges especially for Christmas and sometimes it hard to figure out what to get people. This cute little cracker is from Steamcream and retails for £8.95 for a 25ml tin.  Personally I love these types of stocking fillers, it does get a little boring when all you get is chocolate, personally I would much rather recieve something beauty related than chocolate, well that's a lie, I want both actually!

The really great thing about the Steamcream moisturiser is that it's perfect for all skin types so yo don't have to worry that this product might not be suitable for who ever you are gifting it to. It is also packed with 11 naturally active ingredients such as Lavender Essential Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Orange Flower Oil and Coco butter as well as many other ingredients. When I first applied the cream, you smell the lavender straight away which I'm not really a massive fan of but the really impressive thing is that after second you can't even smell it anymore and can pick up on the various other scents. It's really lovely. 

The size of the tin is a fair size but I'd probably suggest you'd just use this as a facial moisturiser or use on specific areas. Everyone has that one beauty lover in the family and if you're reading this that person is probably you, but I think this would be a really nice gift to have on the tree or in a stocking.

Dove Essential Nourishing Lotion for Dry Skin

I used to use this stuff ages ago but after a year or so I wanted something different, I kinda got bored with the scent and started trying new stuff but oh yes, I came crawling back. 

This moisturiser works, end of. I have weird dry patches on my shins in the winter, lord knows why it's probably because I wear tights and dresses even on the coldest days and this lotion sorts it out almost over night. But the real bonus is that I don't have to use it every day because the smoothness lasts for 1-2 days which is perfect for lazy moisturisers like myself. This Dove product has a "DeepCare Complex" meaning that the lotion works down to some of the deeper layers of skin, normally I don't really believe in these types of formulas because they never really work. However I can honestly say that this lotion does work incredibly well because the smoothness lasts for a few days without having to reapply. 

The scent is pretty hard to describe, it's nice though. It's probably more floral than fruity but I wouldn't even say it smelled like flowers. The formula is quite thick which is great for dry skin as you want to make sure you skin is being nourished. 

I literally picked this product up on a whim when I was last in Boots but I'm so glad I did.

Superdrug coconut oil | review

So I did it, I finally caved into the coconut oil hype. Though I have a confession to make, I bloody hate the smell of coconut. Shocking I know, everyone loves it. 

When I was hunting for some coconut oil, there were so many different types but they were all a little pricey for my liking. I just wanted something to put on my hair that would help with the dry ends. 

I was reading a blog recently (for the life of me I can't remember who it was now otherwise I would link to it) and they wrote a review on this Superdrug product...

It was only £2.29 but this product isn't 100% coconut oil, it also has Parfum and Coumarin. But to be honest I don't mind, because I'm only using it on my hair and maybe some dry skin patches. I'd never do the whole "oil pulling" thing so it didn't matter to me that it wasn't 100% natural because I wasn't gonna eat it anyway.

I read the back and this product can be used for a moisturiser on your skin, can be used for very dry hair and for a dry scalp. 

I must admit it was a little weird because at room temp it's completely solid but only when you start rubbing it between you hands does it melt. 

I completely coated my ends in the oil, running it through with my hands and actually the smell wasn't too over powering. 

I left it overnight to let it fully work it's magic. What I did notice though was how smooth my hands felt after applying it. Really amazing!! I don't even have dry hands but they felt even softer. 

The results

I am really impressed with this product, it took some time to wash out because of it's oily texture but after I dried my hair it feels amazing so soft. It's no longer frizzy. It looks so much better than before, and the scent lingers a little which actually is quite pleasant. 

I absolutely love it and would recommend it to anyone with dry hair.
