Burt's Bees Lipstick | Beauty
I am a fan of Burt's Bees but usually stick to their skincare and lip balm products but I know last year they released some make up items sticking mainly to lip products. I was browsing in my local Boots and they just happened to have an entire stand of Burt's Bees Lipsticks and Lip Crayons, I have to admit it was a bit of an impulse buy because the queue was going down and I was stuck between two choices to I went with Blush Basin - bit of an odd name I must admit but It seemed like a good nude shade.
If you have read my blog before you will know I am all about the nude lip, I don't think there will ever be a time where I rock a red shade, it's just not me. As you can see this is a lovely nude shade with slightly orange undertones, I must admit when I applied it it does bring out those undertones a little more than what I would like but that said, I can definitely work with this shade.
Burt's Bees Lipstick is a slightly thinner stick which means you can apply it more precise than other lipsticks and I found that it was actually super moisturising which I wasn't expecting as I have been wearing a lot of matte shades and I'm kind used to them being a little drying. This lipstick is not a matte lippy, it's more of a satin finish which means you do have to reapply this frequently because as we all eat and drink through the day this lipstick does disappear but because I always go for neutrals you can get away with a delayed application. I have to mention the packaging because I really bloody love it, the design is lovely and gives a nod toward the bee hive but it also feels quite premium and sleek which is a massive thumbs up from me.
This lipstick is made from 100% natural ingredients which include raspberry seed oils and moringa and apparently the packaging is made of 60% recycled materials which I think is really bloody good!
Have you tried and Burt's Bees products?

L'Oreal Colour Riche | Beauty
If you have read my Forgotten Make Up bag Haul, you'll know that I picked this up on a whim. I love a neutral lip, I am getting better with pinky tones and slight redder shades but I will never be the girl who puts on a pillar box red lipstick.
When I was looking for a lipstick I really wanted something from the Rimmel Nude Kate collection but the Boots I was in had an awful range so I wandered down to the L'Oreal section. To be fair, I have been eyeing up these Colour Riche shades for a little while now, there were some really lovely nudes and I did like Eva's one but when I saw the J Lo shade I knew this was the one I had to pick up. I love this lipstick. When I swatched it I noticed that it's actually a very subtle, so that when you put it on your lips it's almost undetectable. This shade in particluar is the most perfect match for my natural lip colour anyway.
It's got a silky finish and feel incredibly nourishing on your lips. I also must just comment on the scent of this lipstick, it has been likened to a slight "granny smell" which i can kinda see but it doesn't last long once it's applied so it's fine. I know that some people don't like it when lipsticks do smell so I would advise taking a whiff before buying it. It's super easy to apply and it does have quite a soft texture. When I wear it I'm always really impressed with how it goes on and how natural it looks.
In terms on longevity I'd say it's not the best because it is such a soft light kind of lipstick but again, I don't really mind reapplying. I think with nude shades it's easier to get away with because it's not that noticeable if the lipstick does start disappearing.
Also, if you want a swatch of this product drop me a message on twitter and I'll take one for you.
Have you tied any of the Colour Riche lipsticks?

Max factor Lipstick | Beauty
One thing I love about working in London is that the train stations actually hand out freebies, I've had all sorts over the years but this little gem from Max Factor is definitely one of my faves.
A free full sized Max Factor Lipstick, I love it but of course when I saw that it was rather red, I thought what a shame. You know me, I don't like bold colours on my lips, I'm a nude kinda gal but still it's a great way to try out these types of shades because I haven't actually spent any money on them.
I've used Max Factor products in the past, I actually use their foundation and mix it with my Rimmel foudation but I haven't actually used any lip products from this brand before.
The thing that confuses me a little is that this product looks like a very bold, almost tomato shade of red however when I swatched it you can see it's more of a pinky berry which I found a very nice surprise because I feel like this shade is actually something I can work with and at least try out. Though if I really wanted the shade that is advertised I'd be a little annoyed but it works for me.
It swipes on really nice and has quite a soft texture, I wouldn't say that this was a matte product this lipstick is kind of in between it doesn't have any shimmer nor does it have a sheen to it but it's not as drying and some matte shades I have seen in the past.
Have you tried any Max Factor lipsticks?

Charlotte Tilbury - Bitch Perfect | Lipstick
I did it, I've bought a Charlotte Tilbury product! I cannot seem to get away from all these fabulous products that I just had to buy something when payday rolled around.
I had been spending a fair amount of time on the Charlotte Tilbury website which I actually really love and I know everyone has been raving about the matte lipsticks but matte lips just aren't for me, soz! I've been wanting a new lipstick, I'm only just exploring with lip colours, I'm all about the eyes but I really fell in love with Bitch Perfect Lipstick.
It's a kind of nude shade, but I'd say it's a few more orange tones than pink but it just looks so gorgeous on.
I had to be careful with this lipstick because when I just whacked it straight on my lips I think I was a little heavy handed and it just didn't look right. The packaging actually suggests you apply this with the lip brush so the second time round I took heed of the instructions and it looked perfect...Bitch Perfect! I must admit I don't technically own a lip brush, I have too many face and eye brushes but I did actually have a very small Real Techniques detailer brush which is a bit small but it kinda does the job. Also I have found that when I just dab this lipstick on and gentle run my finger over my lips it also looks really good.
I have to admit that this lipstick is a little more matte than I thought it would be, it's far glossier in the pictures online than what it is in real life, but it's still really lovely. If you don't like a bit of shimmer then this lipstick isn't for you, it has a real nice sparkle to it but not too in your face, so fear not.
I'm incredibly happy with this product and love love love the packaging, you can't go wrong with rose gold.
What Charlotte Tilbury products would you reccomend?
What a beauty ay!?

Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick | Review
In this months Birchbox I discovered this gorgeous Yves Rocher Sheer Botanical Lipstick.
I must admit when I first opened it up and saw how red it was I instantly thought I'm going to hate it, the shade I recieved was Rouge Groseille which is a pretty bold red. I don't like strong colours on me, personally I don't think they suit me especially with the blonde hair it can look a little cheap on me.
However I quickly swatched it and realised it actually gorgeously sheer, it's more like a tinted lipstick.
I must move onto the scent really quickly because this is truly amazing. It's infused with cherry oil, so can you image how lush that smells and the scent actually lasts pretty well.
When I tried it I was so impressed with this Sheer Botanical Lipstick because it's not at bold as I first thought. It's on of those lipsticks that you can just swipe across you lips for a little colour and shine, but build it up for a deeper colour. It goes on really smooth as well.
This time around I've opted for just a little hint...
I'll be honest I'm still not sure about the colour, I think it's just because I'm not used to it, I really love the lipstick but I think I need to start getting used to these shades because it is gorgeous. It's just very different to what I usually wear, I think I'm going to try this out when I'm going out of the evening so that it isn't too noticeable to me.
I'm super impressed with this Yves Rocher lipstick, I think I'm going to look at what else they have to offer.

Simply, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine
Need I say more than Chanel Rouge Coco Shine?
Well actually, it wouldn't be a very good post if I did say anything else, but I am going to keep it quite simple.
I bough this lipstick as my first "high end" brand a couple of years ago when I was in Madrid and never looked back. I love colours that are subtle to wear, I'm not confident enough to pull off a bright red lipstick so I like to keep things simple and have a subtle hint of colour, a bit flirty almost.
The shade is Candeur and you can buy online at Boots Here - look for the palest shade on the link and that's Candeur.
This is one product, I continue to buy ever since I first discovered it, the way it applies is really smooth, light and doesn't dry out my lips like others. I love it even more in the Spring, it's girly and soft. It's actually a lot sheerer than what it photographs, it really is a delicate shade but I love it! I wear this almost daily at the moment, it's so nice to just add a touch of colour when I'm going to work or when I'm popping out for drinks.
