Favourite Christmas Baubles | Lifestyle

I'm going to try and make sure all of my posts from now until Christmas are Christmas related. So today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite baubles on my tree. The pictures are a little smaller than what we are used to but this is because I used my phone unfortunately.

Let's start with...

A lovely little star. This is wooden and is covered in glitter of course. We always get our baubles from Van Hage which is a garden centre near to where I live. It's not that they do anything particularly different or special but it's just so beautiful walking around there at Christmas you can't help but have a look at all the different baubles. I love the fact the colour code all the baubles.

Ah, a little robin red breast. Love this one because whenever I see a robin it always makes me think of Christmas, its that traditional scene where you see one so colourful sitting in a pile of snow. So cute.

Another star, I know are we sensing a theme? But what I really like about this one is that the colour is a blue/silver colour so not your normal gold, red, green or sliver. It's like a pale blue and it's completely covered in glitter, you know I love a bit of sparkle.

And you must have something with a reindeer on, I really like this one because it's quite traditional with the colours and shape.

What are your favourite baubles?

Flower Power | Lifestyle

This wasn't what I had originally scheduled for this weekend but hey life has a wonderful way of throwing a spanner in the works. But I thought I would just share with you my love of flowers.

This post is partly inspired by a friend as she bought be a gorgeous bunch of flowers when I was feeling somewhat down.

But that's the wonderful thing about flowers, it's the way they can cheer you up almost instantly and it's the thought that just means the most. I'm not saying they can fix how you are feeling entirely but they can certainly help to make you smile. I love the bright colours, but my room is very minimalistic with a lot of creams and magnolia which is why it is always so lovely to have something to add a touch of colour and life to a corner of somewhere.

I think it's safe to say that roses are my absolute favourite flower, which is a bit of a typical girl thing to say because most girls love roses but they genuinely are. Whether they are pink roses, red roses, yellow roses, peach roses I don't care, I just love them. But I like the way the petals are structured, several different petals all folder into each other creating spirals and layers.

I also love simple garden flowers too, I think nothing looks better than a garden in full bloom. A couple of years ago I turned into a very keen gardener but of course I got a little bored with that over time, life just gets in the way. I now understand why my grandparent's garden looks amazing, they have the time.

I love love love the colour of these Hydrangeas!

I just thought I would share with you some pictures, so if you're feeling as rubbish as I was this week, here have some virtual flowers to help make you smile.

What flowers do you love?

The suns out, new nails as well

The sun is out, everyone has gone back to wearing beautiful bright colours, corals, whites, blues, greens, pinks! Everything is full of life again.

This afternoon I went to get my nails done and opted for this utterly delicious Barry M nail polish...

Now how gorgeous is that colour. I've seen this Silk collection in the shops for ages and saw this advertised but every Boots and Superdrug appeared to be sold out of this particular colour.

I waited a good two weeks before I saw it but when I did, I bought it instantly.

But the thing I didn't realise is the colour is almost an exact match to my car...

Just spreading the love, one colour at a time!
