Mini House Tour | Home

Peach Roses

As you may already know, me and the boyf recently bought our first home together and it's just been so amazing! It's taken me a while to figure out this type of blogpost because I wanted to take lots of pictures but sometimes the lighting isn't right or sometimes we have the clotheshorse up so it's hardly that pretty. Instead of showing you a room by room tour, I thought I would share little snippets of our place.

The Living Room and Kitchen
We have an open plan living room and kitchen which is really handy for use because we quite like having a chat when one of us is cooking. As our coach house is a newly built property it means everything is neutral colours and we really wanted to find a way of adding fun colour without it being too drastic, so we added yellow but with grey to compliment the harsh yellow shades.

This little coaster is one of the rose quartz ones from Anthropologie the colour looks a little odd here but I am still trying to figure out the camera on my phone. The side table was bought from Home Sense and it's actually taken me a little while to love this table but now it just seems to fit perfectly.

Black and chrome in the kitchen, I mean it just makes sense doesn't it? The Kettle and Toaster are from Morphe Richards and have little rose gold accents on them so it adds just a dash of colour in.

The Bedroom
We have kept things very simple in the bedroom, it's probably the most neutral of ours spaces just because I love white bedroom furniture so I definitely had a but more influence in this room.

Personally I would rather inject a bit of colour with flowers and I just love having roses by the bed, I'm such a flower person anyway! Also, that little book under my rose trinket is from 1808 - it's filled with verses and poetry about different life stages.

The boyf actually has two guitars and we have the acoustic one in the hall way, music is one of his biggest passions so I definitely wanted to make them a bit of a feature in the house.

Ah, my pride and joy sitting on top of our wardrobe, I have always wanted a Fortnum hamper and for Christmas one of my work partners gifted it to me and I just love it. I used it to put the bedding in and it just looks lovely sitting up there.

I haven't taken pictures of the bathroom purely because we don't have any natural light so every photo has a yellow tinge to it and they just look odd coupled with the rest of the pictures above. Our bathroom is tilled floor to ceiling basically and has a giant mirror which is a bit of a pain to clean but I adore our bathroom so much!

There we have a little snippet into our new home!

Kitchen Wish List | Lifestyle

Kitchen Wish List

This year It was one of my goals to save money each month so I can eventually buy my own place. Whilst that is taking FOREVER I can't help but see some really lovely things that I would just want in my own home. Which means today I am sharing with you my kitchen appliance wish list.

Let's get started with a bit of a random one but I have always wanted a breadmaker just because I frickin' love the smell of freshly baked bread, I mean, who doesn't?  As you know I do like baking and have a rather delish Onion Bread recipe on my blog but it's all the waiting around I can't stand. I have even had a look at the breadmakers by Panasonic, beautiful gadgets that can bake a variety of different breads and I just think it would be so lovely to bake a loaf like once a week or on a weekend!

Moving onto a Smeg Blender because I love making smoothies but I also like that you can also blitz vegetables up with it and you can even make strawberry daiquiris with it, which let's face it, we all know this is the REAL reason I want a blender. I like the Smeg one because I really love how sleek and simplistic the design is.

Personally I'm not the biggest fan of stews but I DO love the convenience of it all so I would love to have Crockpot Slow Cooker in my dream kitchen. Much like the breadmaker, I like to the idea of putting the food on then going about my day whilst the machine does what it's gotta do, I'm not really a person who likes to spend hours slaving over a stove!

Now the Bialetti Espresso Coffee Maker or Moka Pot is something I actually bought when I came back from Italy because I loved the coffee so much! There is something quite special about the way this little pot fills the entire room with the heart warming scent of coffee! It's a little something that will always remind me of the year I spent in Italy And finally no kitchen would be complete without a Lean Mean Fat Reducing Grilling Machine...of course a George Foreman Grill it's just one of those things that should always be in your kitchen!

There we have my kicthen wish list but what would you love to have in your kitchen?

Queen Bee | Candle Holder

I really love homewear items and usually the more neutral the better, in fact you can see my love of all things cream in my bedroom tour.

However I was away in Doncaster and I saw a shop called Additions and it was having a "closing down sale". Just from the window I could see that was a lot of neutral/cream items so I thought I must go in there. To be honest, a lot of the stuff didn't really interest but I did happen to see the gorgeous black and gold candle holders, they really stood out.

Oh yes, you can call me Queen Bee!

I don't know why I love it as much as I do but there was just something that I thought this would look great in my room which is an ocean of magnolia. I loved the little honeybee of course, but the black an gold just stood out. They had 3 different sizes and this was the smallest of the 3 just big enough to fit (snugly) one tea light. I must admit I was kind of torn whether i should buy one or two. I mean I like a bit of symmetry but I couldn't envision two in my room. I was actually thinking how nice this would look on a cream shelf with a couple of books and this just sitting on the end.

This originally was £1.99 and I got it for £1.49, not a massive saving but I think it's a pretty good price actually. I love it!

What homewear item have you bought recently?

Sweet dreams are made of these...

Well, as the weekend draws to a close I cannot wait to jump into bed.

I've not had a particularly busy weekend, just spent my time faffing around. Last week was so busy and crazy at work it's actually just been nice to not have any plans, plus it's given me time to tweak a few things on my blog.

One thing I have missed this weekend is my cleansing time, I've not been able to put my face mask on and relax in the bath, we're doing a bit of redecorating and gloss literally takes forever to dry.

I'll just have to get up a bit earlier to make sure I'm ready to face this week head on, loads of things to do at work so you might not hear that much from me.

Until next weekend, enjoy your beauty sleep...
